Any person over the age of 18 years of age who works with children as a regular volunteer or employee of St. Mary Church is required to fulfill the requirement of the Archdiocesan Decree on Child Protection. A regular volunteer is a person who works with children more than 3 hours a month or more frequently than once a month.
The decree has two requirements:
- a criminal background check (fingerprinting)
- an orientation workshop on the decree
Archdiocesan Fingerprinting Information
When you are fingerprinted, designate St. Mary as the organization to which the results of the background check should be sent. If you volunteer for other organizations, you may have the results sent to multiple destinations.
